Rejection Criteria

Clotted specimen, specimen greater than 4 hours old if plasma is not frozen, incorrect fill volume in original tube, grossly hemolyzed, grossly lipemic.

Notes

Sodium citrate whole blood in original unopened collection tube delivered to the lab within 3 hours of collection. If frozen aliquot is sent, do not allow to thaw in transit.
