Notes
Used for possible transfusion of red blood cells. Needs to be drawn by trained hospital associate using a Blood Bank Band and computer functions PPID and PAID. Blood Bank band must be on both the tube used for testing as well as the patient. If antibody screen is positive or patient has history of antibodies, 2 units of red cells will be crossmatched and available for use. Two blood types must be confirmed before testing is complete.
